How to play the Lucario Ex deck
Like the Ampharos Ex deck, the Lucario deck is mainly aimed at beginners and won't give you a chance if you're played competitively. This deck is level 1 and is aimed at beginners, offering to discover all the battle mechanics in order to understand the Pokémon TCG. This deck may also be of interest to players wishing to challenge another player with predetermined decks.
The deck's main card is Lucario Ex, which has a good number of hit points for a little damage, as well as an "Aurasphere" attack that inflicts 160 damage to your opponent's active Pokémon and 50 damage to a Pokémon on your opponent's bench. Played quickly, this card can compromise your opponent's possible evolutions, preventing him from placing very strong cards in play.
Lucario Ex is the evolution of Riolu, and you have three of them in the deck. Since you only have one Lucario Ex card, two Riolu won't be necessary and don't really give any interest in the game. You could easily replace one Riolu with another Lucario Ex card.
The other interesting card in the game is Annihilape, which has a "Rage Fist" attack that inflicts 70 damage per Reward card your opponent has obtained. This card allows you to simply destroy one of your opponent's powerful cards at the end of the game.
The deck also comes with Medicham which can be easily sacrificed to disable an attack from one of your opponent's active Pokémon. Properly placed, this attack can cripple your opponent's strategy. Finally, you also have Koraidon and Motorizard which will be much harder to place because of the many energies required.
Lechonkis probably the first card you'll want to use as an active Pokémon, as it will allow you to draw a card. By evolving it into Oinkologne, on the following turn you'll be able to begin attacks. Placing three energies will unlock the "Leg Stomp" attack, which will do a lot of damage. In return, you'll have a chance of not being able to attack next turn.
Squawkabilly isn't a bad card, but it doesn't provide a comprehensive strategy. At the start of the game, this card is interesting for quickly placing basic Pokémon on your bench. Its flight attack is also interesting for blocking the opponent's Pokémon attack on the next turn and inflicting damage. Unfortunately, you'll need luck to use it. This card becomes useless when your deck is in place, and three copies seem to be too many.
The trainer cards will all be useful for placing your basic cards and upgrades quickly. The deck includes 18 energy cards, which is a lot and could do with some improvement. This deck may have some potential with Lucario Ex, but is under-optimized for competitive play. On the other hand, it's a very good deck for learning how to improve a deck without changing the game dynamics too much.
