Mushroom Way

In this Super Mario RPG Walkthrough, you'll find the complete guide to completing the first zone of the Mushroom Way.

Move forward to meet the Goombas. You can avoid them, but it would be more interesting to fight them to gain experience. As you progress, jump under chests to receive coins.

Go and eliminate the Goomba blocking a Toad. By winning the fight, you'll get 1x Honey Syrup. Once you've earned enough experience points, you'll get a level. You'll also have the option of improving a stat between physical attack and defense, heal points or magical attack and defense.

Head north to reach the second part of the zone. Eliminate the enemies there and get rid of the Goomba spinning on a flower. Now jump onto the flower to make a leap to the left. You'll then come to an area on the left in which you'll find a chest containing 1x Flower Point. This Flower Point increases your flower points, the gauge that allows you to launch special techniques. 

Return to the previous flower and jump up to get 1x Syrup-of-Life protected by a Goomba. Return once more to the spinning flower to jump to right. Eliminate the Paratroopa to free the Toad, and you'll get 1x Flower Tab. Press the X button to select the Flower Tab, and you'll earn 1 extra Flower Point "FP". Now jump under the right-hand chest to find 1x Mushroom.

Head right to reach the third part of the "Mushroom Way". You'll encounter a Lakitu who will throw Spikey your way. You can avoid or eliminate them to gain experience. On reaching level 3, you'll unlock the "Fireball" ability. This attack allows you to do a lot of damage by pressing the A button relentlessly.

Now head to the right of the area to begin the fight against the "Hammer Bro". These enemies will each have 45 health points.

Concentrate on one brother at a time to make the fight easier. Once one of the two brothers has been eliminated, the second will receive a resistance boost. After the fight, you'll get 1x Flower Jar and the Hammer item. The hammer can be equipped to increase your attacks.

Now go to the top to find the world map. Your next destination will be the "Mushroom Kingdom" .
