Tadpole Pond

In this Super Mario RPG Walkthrough, you'll find the complete guide to completing Back to Tadpole Pond with all the secret chests and side quests.

Once you've crossed the Midas River, head for Tadpole Pond on the left-hand side of the map. When you arrive, head straight for the stone in front of the lake. Tadpoles will emerge from the water, so make a jump during the conversation to show you're Mario. 

After the conversation, jump on the tadpoles to with Frog Sage to give him the Cricket Pie you'd obtained in the Kero Sewers level. Talk to him again to get the weapon "Froggie Stick" which you can give to Mallow. Now jump on the tadpoles to return to the beginning of the area.

Head left to find two tadpole vendors. The first tadpole will sell items that can only be bought with Frog Coins. The second tadpole will offer items for sale. By completing the various stages of the side quest "Toadofsky's melodies", you'll obtain more products. If you wish to begin this quest, head to the right of Tadpole Lake to speak with the tadpole in front of the second area.

Once you've finished talking to Frog Sage, you can head downstairs to join the Rosenville.
