Unboxing a Display Pokémon Pladea Evolved
In this unboxing of a display of Pladea Evolved, the second expansion in the new Scarlet and Violet series of Pokémon cards, we'll show you the different cards you can get, the rate at which you can get them, and what's new in the series and the expansion.
Released on March 31, 2023, the Scarlet and Violet series release, which includes the Evolutions in Paldea expansion, reintroduces Pokémon-Ex with new attacks and talents. Other new features in this new series include the arrival of Pokémon-ex Teracrystal and a new card rarity format.
Evolutions in Paldea is the latest expansion in this series, released on June 8, 2023. Named SV02, this expansion features the Legendary Pokémon cards Baojian Ex and Dinglu Ex, YuYu Ex and Chongjian from the nintendo switch game.
You'll find 4 booster illustrations featuring the three evolutions of the Meowscarada, Skeledirge and Quaquaval starters, as well as Chien-Pao and Ting-Lu. The expansion includes a total of 279, including 80 secret cards.
Quota for the Pokémon Pladea Evolved display
The drop rate for Pladea Evolved is broadly similar to Scarlet and Violet. This rate is much more attractive than the various expansions in the previous Sword and Shield series;
Given the fairly large number of secret cards in the expansion, you can expect to find a secret card in just under 1 in 5 booster sets. These cards can be in the Ultra Rare, Illustration Rare, Special Illustration Rare or Hyper Rare rarities).
Here is a drop rate chart of the display we have opened.
Card type | Number |
---|---|
Common | 179 |
Uncommon | 136 |
Rare | 33 |
Reverse | 67 |
Double Rare | 4 |
Ultra Rares | 3 |
Illustration Rare | 3 |
Special Illustration Rare | 2 |
Hyper rares | 0 |
Energy | 36 |
Secret | 8 |
Displays always guarantee a certain number of ultra-rare cards. In this opening, the price of the cards is relatively similar to the price of the display itself. With an expansion featuring so many secret cards, it's not so surprising that we got 8 of them. In concrete terms, the display enabled us to obtain 60% of the extension, without considering the reverse cards.
