In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Gyroids are as much a part of the game as ever. Gyroids are small decorations that emit a sound at regular intervals. In this Gyroids guide, we explain how to get your hands on one.
How to get Gyroids in Animal Crossing
- By digging a crack in the ground (they are more likely to appear after a day of snow or rain).
- Picking up a Gyroids fragment on the beach shore
- Visiting a mysterious island
- BONUS: Buy your 50th cup of coffee at Brewster's (located on the second floor of the museum) and you'll receive a Brewster Gyroids.
Gyroid fragment
When you find a Gyroid fragment, simply bury the fragment with your shovel and water the crack that has formed with your watering can. To confirm that you have watered the Gyroid, make sure you see a little smoke coming out of the crack.
The next day, go back to the crack and use your shovel to dig. There's your whole Gyroids!
Additional tips
- Interestingly, Gyroids can also be tuned if music is playing.
- Gyroids can be used as furniture and decorations.
- To deactivate the sound they emit, simply approach them and press A.
- You can also personalize them! (change their color)
- You can resell Gyroids for 828 bells at Nook's Cranny.
- Gyroids' names now end in - oid, as they exist in families (1 to 6 members within the same family). Collect them to create Gyroid families.
