How to build a perfect snowman?
In the Animal Crossing franchise, seasonal events are a recurring feature. The winter season, for example, is one in which there are many things to do, including catch snowflakes and make the perfect snowman!
In fact, the winter season is the opportunity to meet the NPC called Snowman. You can only meet him during winter. Read on to the end of this page to find out more about this character and how to make the perfect snowman every time.
Can we make a snowman?
From December 11th to February 24th in the northern hemisphere, and from June 11th to August 24th in the southern hemisphere, you'll be able to find two little snowballs on the ground on your island every day. By rolling them, you can make them grow and finally assemble them to form a snowman.
How do you make the perfect snowman?
The snowball forming the snowman's body must reach your character's nose, and the snowball forming the head must reach your character's neck. Play with the camera angle to see whether the balls reach your nose or your neck. This seems to be the simplest technique.
The rewards
The first time you make a snowman, he'll reward you with an Arctic series blueprint and a large snowflake.
*ATTENTION! The following snowmen will only reward you if you manage to form their perfect version. These versions will remain on your island for several days, allowing you to collect several large snowflakes from the perfect snowman you've created.
Here's the list of rewards that Snowman can offer you. Please note that you'll need to collect snowflakes as well as large snowflakes (available only from the Snowman) to build them.
- Artic tree (1 large snowflake / 8 snowflakes)
- Arctic Arch (1 large snowflake / 10 snowflakes)
- Ice wand (3 large snowflakes / 3 star fragments)
- Snow hood (1 large snowflake / 5 snowflakes)

Additional notes
- If you don't reach the perfect snowman, you'll only have a dialogue with him, nothing more.
- If you hit a wall or tree, it will break your snowball.
- If you roll your snowball off the snow or on patterns, this will reduce its size.
- Make sure you follow the instructions, as you can only make 1 snowman a day.
- The snowman takes 4 days to melt. You'll see the snowman get smaller and smaller as the days go by.
