Getting started on Coral Island
Coral Island offers you a multitude of things to do in order to progress in the game. In this guide, we explain how to get started on Coral Island and how to optimize your resources.
When you start the game, you'll find yourself with a few tools in your inventory. In order to complete quests and build storage chests or decorations, you'll first need to collect as many resources as possible. Here are 7 things you need to do to get started on Coral Island.
1. Collect resources near your home
Wood, rocks, fibers and other resources will be very useful, especially at the start of the game, to complete quests or build objects. Since these resources are the first things you have access to, don't hesitate to pick them up. What's more, you may come across a few surprises!
2. Build one or more storage boxes
Since the number of resources available in Coral Island is very high at the start of the game, building a storage chest to hold all your resources (wood, rocks and so on) is a good strategy. Creating a resource reserve is a good way to save time when you need to build something later on in the game.
3. Hunting insects and fishing
At some point in the game, you will receive a net and a fishing rod. Use them to catch the insects that appear in front of you, as they change with the seasons! And use your fishing rod to catch as many fish as you can.
Donate new insects and fish to the museum, and sell the surplus in the shipping bin to make some extra cash.
4. Explore
The map of Coral Island is vast. Exploring what this island has to offer is a great way to familiarize yourself with the new environment and find out where every store and building is located.
5. Meet the characters
Meet and chat with all the characters on Coral Island. You can even develop friendly AND romantic relationships with certain characters in the game. Meet over 70 unique and diverse characters in Coral Island!
6. Watch television every day
Watching television every day lets you learn more about agriculture, and you can also find out about the weather, so you can plan whether or not you need to water your plants, for example. What's more, a variety of programs are also available for viewing.
7. View calendar
Checking the calendar (located in town, near Sam's supply store) every day is important to make sure you don't miss a thing! Character birthdays and festivals are marked on the calendar. Don't forget to give the person a present if it's his or her birthday, to increase your affinity with him or her more quickly!
Here are the 7 things you need to do to get started on Coral Island! Enjoy the game!
