Wand Mastery

In this walkthrough for Hogwarts Legacy, we'll give you the complete tutorial for the main quest: Wand Mastery.

Head to Gerbold Ollivander's store in Hogsmeade and let him make you a wand using the artifacts found in each of the Pensieve you've visited in previous chapters.

Just as you're leaving the store, Victor Rookwood appears. He proposes an alliance to prevent the goblins from taking over the last depot, but you refuse. 

Irritated by your refusal, you're suddenly transplanted with Victor Rookwood and his sidekick to another location. 

You'll find yourself in a battlefield where you'll have to face several enemies at the same time. Be on your guard, dodge attacks and use all your spells to strike back. Once you've defeated the first wave of enemies, you'll engage in a wand battle with Victor Rookwood. Use the corresponding command to win the wand battle. Then continue to attack the new wave of enemies that has just appeared. You'll then need to defeat Victor Rookwood to progress.

• It's important to note that Rookwood's shield is not linked to any particular type of spell. You'll need to use ancient magic or the Protego and Stupefix combo to defeat it. Once the shield is gone, attack it with your spells until it is defeated.

A final wand battle with Victor Rookwood is required to defeat him once and for all. Once Victor Rookwood has been defeated, you'll need to return to the Map Room. That's how the quest: Wand Mastery ends, making way for your next main quest in Hogwarts Legacy: The Final Repository.
