The Abandoned Laborer
In this Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom side quest guide, we'll give you the complete tutorial for the side quest: The Abandoned Laborer.
Please note! You will need to complete the main quest: The Fire Temple before unlocking this side quest. Also, it's important to note that you'll need a fire-resistant dish or fire-resistant equipment to enter the Death Mountain West Tunnel. Fire-resistant stone equipment is available from the stores in Goron City. However, the equipment is very expensive. Another, less costly option is to cook dishes with an Fireproof Lizard or a Smotherwing Butterflies using monster materials.
This mission is triggered when you enter the Death Mountain West Tunnel and chat with the miner inside named Mota.
Before entering the tunnel, start by properly equipping yourself or consuming an Fireproof Remedy. Then install a fan behind a cart (with Ultrahand) and activate the fan to be projected inside the tunnel.
Use Yunobo's ability to destroy the rocks blocking the way. Then talk to the miner, who will ask for your help to get out of the tunnel. Simply move his cart on the rails (using Ultrahand). Then return to Mota.
Then activate Yunobo's ability, but don't press A - Fire yet! Make sure you move forward a little so that the miner's cart is close to the broken rails, as you want Yunobo's strength to be great enough to propel the cart to the other side of the broken rails.
When you're ready, press A - Fire! to project the carriage out of the tunnel. Then return outside the tunnel to speak with the miner Mohtar. To thank you, he'll give you a Large Zonai Charge orb. This concludes the side quest: The Abandoned Laborer.
A giant frog can be found in the tunnel; attack it to receive a Bubbul Gem. It's also possible to find a chest, use the Ultrahand ability to pull it out of the ground and open it to receive a Stonebreaker.
