Korok Seeds
From what we know so far, there are an estimated 900 Korok Seeds available in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Korok can be found just about anywhere, they can be hidden high up in trees, under the rock you'll have to lift, they can be lost and will ask you to bring them to their friends, they can be concealed in pillars or be hidden in the form of flowers that run away every time you get close to them. There are many ways to find Koroks. Every time you find a Korok, it will offer you a Korok Seed.
How to find a Korok Seed
As mentioned above, Korok Seeds can be hidden in pillars (tree trunks, buildings, etc.) or hidden as a puzzle (you'll have to shoot arrows or reach a destination within seconds). Korok may even ask you to bring them to their friends.
What are they for?
Korok Seeds will be indispensable at some point in the game, as they allow you to expand your inventory. With the number of weapons, shields and bows you collect during battles, inventory expansion will be necessary. They are also a type of collectible you can have in the game.
How to expand your inventory
To expand your inventory, simply chat with Hestu. A character who normally appears following your visit to Rito Village. She will move to the Lookout Standing when you complete the main quest: The Wind Temple. Indeed, if you want to meet Hestu as early as possible in the game, it's advisable to start your journey in Rito Village rather than the other regions.
When you talk to Hestu for the first time, you'll unlock the side quest: Hestu's Concerns. Simply give her Korok Seeds to complete the quest.
Hestu will be able to increase the number of weapons, bows and shields in your inventory in exchange for Korok Seeds. Please note that the larger your inventory, the more Korok Seeds you'll need.
