Read this article to the end to find out who Satori is and what is the purpose of cherry trees in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
What are cherry trees used for?
Cherry trees are used to reveal cave entrances. This is very useful if you're always on the lookout for resources.
All you have to do is drop any fruit (we recommend a common fruit that's easy to find) into the base at the foot of the tree. Following your offering, Satori will appear for a few seconds, and several jets of blue light will appear to show you the cave entrances containing a Bubbul Gem.
How many cherry trees are there in total?
There are a total of 8 cherry trees in the kingdom of Hyrule. The map showing the location of the 8 trees can be found on the wall at the Outskirt Stable.
There is a cherry tree in each of the following locations:
- Hyrule Field (surely the first one you come across)
- Mount Satori
- Rito Village
- Zora's Domain
- Firone
- Goron City
- Gerudo Town
- Necluda
Additional notes
- Pay close attention to the surroundings, as there is often a Shrine near a cherry tree.
- It doesn't seem possible to approach it or to have Satori as a mount.
- Pay attention to the resources near the cherry tree, as rare plants can be found there!
- You can summon Satori as many times as you like by placing a fruit in the base. However, the jets of light appear for the first time and stay that way.
