Tulin of Rito Village
In this walkthrough for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, we'll give you the complete tutorial for the main quest: Tulin of Rito Village.
To reach Harth for information on Princess Zelda, head for his base on the Hebra Mountains. Use your Paraglider to jump and fly towards the 2 bonfires marking the base of the Hebra Mountains. If necessary, stop on the large boulder at the base of the Hebra Mountains to fly higher.
On the way, you'll come across Addison again, installing a Hudson Construction Company sign. Help him to get 20 Red Rupees, a dish and a Bomb Flower.
Once you've reached the base of the Hebra Mountains, collect all the resources in the structure on the right. Then enter the base of the Hebra Mountains (collect all available resources, including Wood, Oil Jars, Flint and Hot Peppers), explore the notes, cook in the pot under the fireplace if necessary and then chat with Harth. Unfortunately, he'll tell you that he has no information about Zelda.
He'll ask you to find Tulin, as he'll be able to help you in your search for information, especially with his wind-generating technique. He will inform you that Tulin is in the Hebra South Summit Cave, northeast of your location.
Head for the access to the Hebra Mountains and climb the ladder. Head to the other side of the rock wall and follow the mountain path. A large fire marks the entrance to the cave. Attack enemies on the way and head north, until you see a campfire.
Enter the Hebra South Summit Cave and talk to Cecili, who is at the cave entrance. To find Tulin, you'll have to venture a little further into the cave. Watch out for the brambles and proceed carefully into the cave. Follow the bramble path and climb up, until you come to an empty space in which a gust of wind seems to be blowing upwards. Reach the small cave at the top by jumping with the Paraglider to collect all possible resources. Watch out for the Bokoblin in this cave, shoot an arrow to stun it and attack it.
- OPTIONAL: Return to the empty space in which a gust of wind seems to be blowing upwards. You'll notice that there's ice on the floor, and you'll have to fall several times while accelerating on the ice to break it and pass underneath. You'll find yourself in another cellar filled with resources.
Climb to the top of the same cellar to reach a small underground lake where you can find Flint, Hylian Pine Cones and Chillfin Trouts. To find Tulin, use the Flint to light the fire and throw a Hylian Pine Cones into it to create an avalanche of wind. Jump into the wind and use your Paraglider to climb to the platform above.
Arriving on the platform above, attack the enemies in your path and advance until you find a campfire and Laissa. Laissa will tell you that Tulin is to the north of the cave. Head in that direction and exit.
Once outside the cave, climb the slope to the northeast, towards the ruins and the tree stump (climb on the snow, not the stone, as it's too slippery to climb on). Watch out for the enemy camp nearby. It's possible to avoid them by crouching down and moving away from them. Continue climbing the ruins, using the Ascend ability to climb more efficiently. Once at the top of the mountain, you'll find Tulin.
He'll ask you to help him retrieve his bow, which has been stolen by a monster. To do this, Tulin will create wind to help you fly through the air. Once in the air, thanks to Tulin's skill, approach the platform. Then shoot an arrow at it. A cinematic sequence suddenly appears in which Tulin recovers his bow. However, other enemies arrive as reinforcements! Attack them all while keeping an eye on your life bar. Eat food as needed.
Once all the enemies have been defeated, another cinematic appears. You'll learn that Tulin has spotted Princess Zelda in the cloud (which seems to have caused the snowstorm). It seems that the only way to get there is from above. To progress through the story, you'll need to investigate the cloud for clues that will help you find Zelda.
The Tulin of Rito Village main quest comes to an end, making way for your next main quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - The Wind Temple. To find out how to get there, check out our guide.
