Yunobo of Goron City
In this walkthrough for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, we'll give you the complete tutorial for the main quest: Yunobo of Goron City.
It's important to note that you'll need a fire-resistant dish or fire-resistant equipment to progress through this part of the story. Fire-resistant stone equipment is available from the stores in Goron City. However, the equipment is very expensive. A less costly option is to cook with Fireproof Lizard or Smotherwing Butterflies using monster materials. Fireproof Lizards and Smotherwing Butterflies are fire-resistant. It's important to be well-equipped, otherwise you'll be able to burn the moment you enter the burning cave at Yun & Co's headquarters.
To reach Yunobo to find out what's going on and possibly get information about Princess Zelda, head for Yun & Co's headquarters. To do so, head for the railroad where Dugby is. Talk to him to unlock the mission: The Ancient City Gorondia! Dugby will need your help to operate a wagon to get to the other side. Simply place Dugby's cart (the cart behind him with his cushion in it) on the railroad and, using Ultrahand's ability, stick a fan on it to make it go. When the cart is ready to go, go and talk to Dugby and choose the dialogue: "It's okay, it can move".
Once on the other side, you'll find yourself in front of Yun et Cie's headquarters. Nearby, you'll find a store where you can sell items you don't need or buy fireproof equipment. There's also a cooking pot nearby. However, we advise you to cook fire-resistant dishes (mix a Fireproof Lizard or Smotherwing Butterflies with a monster material (e.g. Bokoblin Horn) and you'll have a Fireproof Remedy.
Once you're ready to take on Yunobo, consume the Ignifu Remedy you've just concocted and head for the burning cave at Yun & Co's headquarters. A cinematic appears in which you see Princess Zelda, who seems to be talking to Yunobo. Yunobo seems to be getting very strange, and will try to attack you by driving rapidly towards you!
Defeating Yunobo
To defeat Yunobo, simply dodge his attack at the last moment as he rolls towards you. The moment you see smoke coming out of the ground (as Yunobo builds up momentum and rushes towards you), start moving and quickly dodge his attack. This will cause him to hit the wall, throwing him off balance. Take advantage of this moment to hit him with your weapon. Repeat the same process 3 times (dodge his attack and hit him just as he's destabilized) to defeat Yunobo.
Once defeated, Yunobo comes to his senses and tries to find Princess Zelda. Suddenly, rocks fall and block the exit to the cave. You'll learn to use Yunobo's Fire Power to destroy the rocks blocking your way out. Simply press A when you're ready and well positioned in front of the target and press A again for Yunobo to charge in and destroy the target. You can now use Yunobo's ability!
Yunobo will point out that smoke is rising from Death Mountain. To progress through the story, you'll need to investigate Death Mountain to find the clues that will help you find Zelda.
And so the main quest: Yunobo of Goron City comes to an end, making way for your next main quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: The Fire Temple. To find out how to get there, however, check out our guide.
