Region 1: Last-Frost Cavern

In this guide to the main quests in Pinkmin 4 on Nintendo Switch, we'll take a look at the Cave: Last-Frost Cavern.

When you're in Region 1: Sun-Speckled Terrace, destroy the sand wall to discover Last-Frost Cavern.

Start by attacking the enemies in front of you and ask the Pikmin to transport them to the base to receive Sparklium. On your right, you'll find a treasure (compass). Order the 7 Pikmin to carry it to the base.

Then ask Oatchi to charge on the clay pots with drops of nectar. Pikmin who drink the nectar will have a flower on their head and move faster.

Move forward to face an enemy with the ability to freeze. Attack him and collect the Ice Pikmin. Continue destroying more clay pots to collect nectar drops. Don't forget to collect all the raw materials you find in the cave.

Then head for the blue jelly blocking the path and throw Pikmin at it to destroy the obstacle. On the other side, you'll find a castaway, none other than Russ, the engineer responsible for the Shepherd's repairs and upgrades. Don't forget to pick up the treasure to the right of the blue jelly.

What's more, you can also find a red onion hidden behind clay pots, where you'll even find ice Pikmin. Red onions are very useful, as they allow you to keep even more Pikmin with you during your explorations.

Move the paper bag to create shortcuts as required. Once you've completed your exploration of the cave, head for the beam of light at the end of the cave to exit. At the end of the exploration, a report will appear to inform you of what you've found.
