In this main quest guide for Pinkmin 4 on Nintendo Switch, we'll be reviewing Region 1: Sun-Speckled Terrace.

When you land, you'll receive some additional information, as this is your very first expedition.

  • The clock in the top-left corner of your screen shows how much time you have left to explore in search of the missing rescuers, and you must return to base camp before nightfall.
  • Before you start exploring, don't forget to take the Pikmin out of the red onion, as they'll be assisting you during the expedition (you're allowed to take out a maximum of 20 at the moment). Launch them on a task by pressing A.
  • Collect the raw materials (blue crystals) as they'll be useful for many things, including buying gadgets/objects and transforming it into a clay mass.
  • It's possible to give orders to Oatchi. Ask him to search for a trail with the command: "Search!", "Rescue" or "Treasure".
  • Use the Dandori strategy, which is the art of planning your actions in advance to execute them optimally.

As mentioned in the How to get started guide, attack enemies to protect your Pikmin. These enemies can also be brought back to base when defeated, as they can be a source of Sparklium.

Don't hesitate to throw Pikmin at the flowers to get more! The number on the flower represents the number of Pikmin you need to throw to receive more Pikmin.

What's more, if you let the Pikmin drink drops of nectar, a flower will bloom on their head, making them much faster!
