Before you reach the school entrance, make sure your team is healthy, as Lacey will challenge you to a Double Battles battle.

Select the Terarium and move on to discover the new DLC environment. The Terarium is divided into four distinct environments: the Savanna Zone, the Coastal Zone, the Canyon Zone and the Polar Zone. Each of these biomes has its own Pokémon.
You'll then be introduced to how the zone works, with the healing machine and the Terra-Core, which enables Teracrystallization. You'll also get a map of the Terarium and the Blueberry Pokédex. Your next objective is the Coastal Zone biome.
