How to find de Wind Temple
In this walkthrough for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, we'll give you the complete tutorial on How to find de Wind Temple and begin the main quest: The Wind Temple.
In order to progress through the story, you'll need to investigate this cloud with Tulin and find clues that will help you find Zelda. It seems that the only way to get there is from above.
How to find de Wind Temple
From the platform, head for the ruins (in the form of staircases) which appear to climb upwards. Feel free to use your Ascend ability to climb more efficiently. At a certain point, you'll find a chest. Open it to receive a Zonaite Sword. Once at the top, you'll meet Huck.
He'll show you the way to the top, so you can enter the cloud from above. With your Paraglider, navigate between the various platforms using Tulin's ability to create a wind current to push you further into the air.
Once you've reached the first platform, use your Ultrahand ability to stack 2 blocks together, so you'll be higher enough to use your Ascend ability and climb to the next platform. Repeat the same process for the next platforms if you can use your Ascend ability to climb higher. You'll notice that the platforms climb higher and higher.
At some point during your ascent, Tulin will inform you that he has seen Princess Zelda there, and will be intrigued by a flying boat (very useful for your ascent, as they can be used as trampolines to throw you even higher into the air) and a nearby Shrine. Follow Tulin and talk to him. A cinematic appears in which a voice seems to be calling you up into the cloud, where you can see a huge boat. Head for the boat and jump onto the sail to bounce high above it. Then take your Paraglider to the Mayaumekis Shrine. Complete it to collect a Light of Blessing.
Once out of the Shrine, you'll see a platform with a circle of ice on it. Head towards it and break the ice by jumping on it. You'll find a chest. Open it to receive 5 Arrows. Then continue your ascent using your Paraglider and Tulin's ability. Attack the enemies in your path, keeping an eye on your life bar. We recommend attacking with Flowers Bomb or Arrows with Fire Fruits. Pushing enemies off the platform is also a great way to get rid of them.
Then jump onto the boat sail to project yourself high into the sky, and continue up the platforms.
In some places, ice spikes can be seen. It's important to remove them by shooting arrows at them, as they prevent you from using your Ascend ability to climb. Don't hesitate to place blocks to get higher if you want to use Ascend.
- Collect the chest on a platform to receive 3 Portable Pots.
To the left of this chest, you'll see a tower with ice spikes, break them and climb to the top. You'll see an archway, head towards it and continue up the platforms, keeping an eye out for enemies along the way. Destroy layers of ice or stones to reveal a ship's sail, enabling you to project yourself higher.
At this point, you'll see several flying boats, which you can use to climb higher and more efficiently. Watch out for flying creatures. To defeat them, simply shoot an arrow.
At a certain point, a small temple comes into view. Enter to discover various resources and a cooking pot. Take this opportunity to cook up some Hot Peppers (for cold resistance, since it'll be much colder up there). Then continue your ascent by jumping onto platforms and boat sails.
You can also build a hot-air balloon using the various materials at your disposal. Activate the Flame Emitters to raise the balloon and take advantage of the height to reach the platform at the top. * Use Ascend's ability to your advantage.
Once you've reached a certain height (when you see the Kahatanaum Shrine), you'll need to eat a Hot Peppers Plate in order to resist the cold, as the temperature is now more intense. Then head to the Kahatanaum Shrine to pick up a Light of Blessing. Exceptionally, there are no puzzle to solve for this Shrine.
Then continue using the flying boats to climb to the top of the cloud. When you see a long platform in front of a large cloud, you've reached the entrance to The Wind Temple. Then simply jump onto the boats' sails to enter the large cloud and gain access to the Temple.
