Return to Vectera

In this Main Starfield missions guide, we'll explain the complete path of the "Return to Vectera" mission, with all the objectives.

Return to Vectara, the moon on which you began your Starfield adventure in the Narion system. It's likely that direct travel isn't available, in which case make a stopover on another system to return to Vectara.

As you approach the moon, you'll be intercepted by the MULE, unlocking a mission.

Once on the moon, talk to Lin to learn that Barrett and Heller have been kidnapped by pirates. Enter the building using the outside switch.

Inside, take the key from the desk or hook the door leading to the communications computer. Interact with the computer and choose the "Find a power source" option. You must then find the three batteries and place them in the electrical sockets near the computer.

If your Safety skills allow, you can simply remove the transfer module to recover the Emergency Transmission, otherwise go and recover the batteries.

After listening to the message, go back to Lin so you can recruit her into your crew.

Climb into your ship to reach Virum, in the Valo system. Go and talk to Heller near the vessel to receive Emergency Transmission. You'll also have the chance to recruit him if you wish.

Listen to the transmission and head into the Altair system to land on Altair II.

Enter the Outpost, and join Barrett, who will be talking with Matsura. You can pay for her release, persuade, let Sarah pay if she's in your group, or simply engage her in combat.

Then return to the Lodge and talk to Barrett, who you can then recruit into your crew.
